Job Description:
The Technical Manager provides Atlanta site-wide single-point technical team leadership.
He / She is responsible for planning and executing technical initiatives using internal and external resources. The Technical Manager will support technical skill development, coaching, and leadership to the Atlanta technical and operating teams. The Technical Manager will support other plant and company-wide projects and initiatives as needed.

• Comply with all Sunny Delight Beverages policies and procedures
• Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required
• Comply with all Food Safety and Quality Requirements
• Comply with and enforce all Safety procedures and proactively identify potential risks and countermeasures to mitigate the risks
• Responsible for overall leadership for the Technical Team (Maintenance, Utilities, Facilities)
• Support the development of plant technical leaders in their technical capabilities and leadership skills
• Own and achieve plant performance results: Throughput, OEE, Capacity Utilization
• Own AM & PM results for the site
• Own Root Cause Analysis process for the site
• Support and drive overall results for the Plant
• Own and drive improvements to optimize Maintenance, Utilities and Facilities
• Create a vision for the Technical team, enabling the team and the business to achieve the goals
• Demonstrate and model the Sunny Delight company values: Trust, Teamwork, Respect, Leadership, Mastery, Innovation, and Community
• Provide technical leadership and coordination of new product and process initiatives
• Utilize site and company PM, AM, and E&T resources to leverage technical expertise, training capability, and project management skills to develop the capability of the technicians at the site
• Promote behaviors that enable self-directed teams and lean environments
• Support day-to-day results by flowing to the work
• Travel as needed
• Manage Technical Group OT
• Manage & plan the Technical Group budget and expenses
• Manage vacations and scheduling of the Technical Group
• Establish Technical Team Priorities and manage Action Plans
• Lead the conflict resolution process, if necessary.
• Member of the Atlanta Leadership Team
• Coach the Operating Team AM Leaders
• Manage work plans, PAT's and individual skill development for members of the Technical Team

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, BSME, BSEE or equivalent technical major or equivalent technical experience is required (5-7 yrs). MS in Engineering and/or MBA is a plus.
• Seven to ten years of experience in a technical leadership role in a manufacturing/process/beverage environment.
• Project Management skills and experience in implementation of significant projects (>$1MM).
• Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to provide leadership in a team based environment.
• Exposure to Lean/Six sigma tools and training and/or experience working in a Lean process environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, are required.
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues, problem-solving tools and skills are required.
• Computer skills required: Internet research skills, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook, MS Project, Access, AutoCAD, VISIO)
• Previous training in Automation Systems including: HMI: Wonderware (InTouch), RS View, Panel View, Allen Bradley (RSLogix 5, 500, 5000), Modicon, TI, GE, Mitsubishi, Square D, Egemin AGV's
• Training in Network Systems: Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Familiarity and capability with other software and computer - based tools desired: ERP systems (i.e. Axapta/MS Dynamics, SAP, J.D. Edwards, etc.)
• Outstanding time management/prioritization and organization skills required.
