Job Description:
The Process/Blending Leader is responsible for the management and supervision of the activities for the batching of products, the processing equipment for the batch and the blending technicians. The leader must follow and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), safety, and quality procedures. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality level of the products it produces, for the day-to-day management of the blending department, and for the resolution of technical issues in the department.

1. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
2. Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage's policies and procedures.
3. Ensure all product formulations are produced in accordance with QA analytical specifications. Perform and participate in Quality/HAACP/GMP internal audits with corrective actions.
4. Provides "hands-on" leadership to operations team while driving change initiatives. Maintain a good technical knowledge of operations. Responsible for trouble shooting and aiding the resolution of daily issues to ensure future production meets KPIs. Act as a first responder to Team Leaders and production team members within the production and process area. Work on shop floor as required.
5. Effectively on-board and develop employees by providing clear responsibilities, job skill training and performance expectations in alignment with organizational goals. Creates individual development plans for employees and provides regular performance feedback.
6. Control inventory on the production floor; Manage compliance of material process flow and reconciles variances.
7. Analyzes potential production problems (delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, etc.) and devises and implements procedures to minimize lost time due to these occurrences
8. Ensure preventative maintenance for equipment are completed and that unscheduled repairs take place in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
9. Review operational performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement to determine areas needing process and program improvement to reduce cost, maximize performance, and increase efficiency
10. Interacts with engineers to modify machines, equipment and/or processes to improve safety, production and overall quality; provides liaison support between plant and engineering to ensure efficient manufacturing processes
11. Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency and specifications.
12. Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment. Lead continuous improvement projects and coaches team on improvement strategies. Audits continuous improvement activities for effectiveness and sustainability.
13. Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations, issue warnings for violations and administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary. Partner with site Human Resources leader to ensure fair and consistent administration of all policies, work rules and processes.
14. Follow the escalation process to address and respond to abnormalities and implement corrective action as required. Preform RCAs for significant issues to drive resolution and prevent recurrence.

o High School Diploma- Some College or Bachelors of Science or Arts degree; Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field of study is a plus
o 3+ years' experience in manufacturing operations and 3+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
o Strong technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing, processing and/or batching/brewing. Some PLC Experience a plus.
o Excellent communication & conflict resolution skills.
o Possess a collaborative and unyielding approach to process improvement.
o A motivated desire to use quantitative and qualitative data in making product decisions.
o Strong organizational skills.
o Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, overnight and/or weekends.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong Microsoft Excel a plus
