Job Description:
SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the recruitment, selection and onboarding process for all newly hired Sunny Delight Beverages Company employees. The HR Generalist also manages bi-weekly payroll, ensures that payroll data is accurate and complete, manages employee benefits processing and open enrollment, manages employee training, handles employee relations issues with both management and hourly populations, and provides HR support to the Plant Management team as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following - other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for employee recruiting, selection, background checks, reference checks, pre-employment screening, psychological profiles, background checks, drug screenings and security pre-assessment for incoming new employees.
• Manage, training, employee development and onboarding processes. Design and facilitate appropriate employee training.
• Manage plant's professional services, recruiting, general admin operating supplies, and awards/recognition accounts
• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing process at the plant level. Ensure that all payroll data is complete and accurate in ADP prior to forwarding to Corporate for final processing. Troubleshoot ADP/timeclocks to ensure system is functioning properly for all management and hourly employees.
• Manage and coordinate benefits processes including, but not limited to; annual benefits election (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability), insurance invoicing and billing, new employee benefits enrollment, employee benefits changes.
• Manage plant workers compensation injury assessments including, but not limited to, accident/injury reports, employee return-to-work, and light duty certification.
• Manage employee leaves-of-absence, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Short-Term/Long-Term Disability
• Engage in employee relations initiatives, not limited to employee retention, employee engagement, employee investigations, incident documentation, disciplinary action, and terminations.
• Manage existing Sunny Delight and Harvest Hill policies and procedures. Create/edit new policies and procedures as required.
• Must possess knowledge of the following federal/state regulatory bodies and/or regulations: DOL, IRS, ERISA, NLRB, FLSA, PPACA, FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, EEOC
• Engage in plant functional programs (SQF, BOS, QOS, etc.)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5+ years of HR management/generalist experience required. Must possess HR management/generalist experience in a manufacturing environment (CPG preferred). Minimum 3+ years of experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Time & Attendance, or other ADP payroll and HRIS products required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, contracts, and legal documentation. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple concrete variables in uncertain situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft Office (Expert Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint), 3+ years of experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Time & Attendance, or other ADP payroll and HRIS products required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
As required to attend off site training and meetings as needed.
